SERVICE APPOINTMENT CHECKLIST

Things to have ready before your service appointment

  • Know where all the components of your heating and air conditioning system are located.
  • Perform all troubleshooting tips possible before calling to avoid any unnecessary service calls.
  • Check your air filter.  This is the #1 cause of problems in a heating and air conditioning system.
  • Write down the Brand and Model Number of all of your heating and air conditioning equipment.
  • Be prepared to explain what problems you are having with your heating and air conditioning equipment.
  • Know exactly how long you have been having the problems with your heating and air conditioning system.
  • Make sure that the technician has enough access to the equipment.  Please move anything around the equipment away so that the technician can work on the equipment.
  • Please make all equipment located in an attic or crawlspace easily accessible for the technician.
  • Please have all pets locked up so they are not in the way of the technician and to not get harmed during the service call.
  • Make sure that there is an adult available to grant entry into the home.
  • Many times, technicians will call before coming for their appointment.  Please be available to answer the phone.
  • Have the Landlord’s permission to have the equipment in your home serviced before calling for a service call.  If you are renting, please have your Landlord’s billing information available at the time of the service call.
  • If your air conditioning system is frozen, please turn the unit off so it defrosts before a technician shows up for the scheduled appointment.
  • Make a file with all of your previous service information performed on your system.
  • Be prepared to pay the service technician when the service call is completed.

If you have any further questions about your upcoming service call, please contact us.
